Materials Manager, Waukesha

About the Role

We are looking for a Materials Manager with extensive experience in a manufacturing setting to manage the auditing of bills of lading for materials received and inspections of materials for good condition, in cooperation with the Quality Manager and Quality Inspectors. The role involves managing Inventory Control to ensure materials are added to inventory, secured, and distributed accordingly, maintaining safe stocks, and conducting accurate cycle counts. The Materials Manager is also responsible for shipping finished goods, returns, and other materials to customers, suppliers, and others as required, working with internal and external shipping and distribution resources to achieve goals.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and direction to direct reports responsible for all inbound and outbound equipment/components/material.
• Leads inventory control management processes and directs activities of inventory control employees.
• Leads annual physical inventory.
• Interprets and enforces company policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
• Manages inventory control, conducts cycle counting, and leads inventory control processes and audits.
• Accurately documents all receivables from multiple sources (FedEx, UPS, USPS, Pine Drivers, Customer Drop Off, etc.).
• Assists the Quality Department with inspections of all equipment/components/material upon arrival.
• Generates receipt of goods reports with three check-off/sign-off prior to submittal to accounting.
• Promptly communicates discrepancies (missing items, damages, unexpected returns, etc.) with operations management and scheduling.
• Maintains a clean and efficient work area at all times.
• Reviews, generates, and implements processes to meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Measures work performance, compares results to objectives, and takes corrective actions.
• Establishes, maintains, and promotes exceptional customer service.
• Analyzes and recommends improvements to procedures and methods regarding inventory accuracy, operational processes, streamlining, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of ERP systems, with Oracle experience preferred.
• Inventory control experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
• Strong skills in Excel, data mining, and tracking KPIs.
• Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with MS Visio and MS Professional preferred.
• High School Diploma/GED required; post-secondary education in manufacturing management/supply chain management strongly encouraged.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative in problem-solving.
• Adaptable to a fast-paced and changing environment.

Pay

Salary range for this position is $122,000 to $135,000 per year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
