Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and control inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted production while minimizing excess or obsolete inventory.
- Monitor and analyze stock usage patterns to optimize reorder points and quantities and maintain regular cycle counts.
- Ensure compliance with FAA, EASA, AS9110 or other applicable regulatory requirements in all materials management processes.
- Maintain documentation and traceability for all materials used in MRO operations.
- Supervise and lead the purchasing and stockroom teams, providing training, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement within the department.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to align material availability with repair schedules, understand workflows and implement solutions.
- Create and maintain material forecasts based on production and market trends.
- Utilize ERP/MRP systems to manage material workflows and generate reports.
- Develop and track key performance metrics, such as inventory turns, material availability, and procurement cycle times, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Track supplier and Service Level Agreement (SLA) performance, and provide performance feedback.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in materials management, preferably within an MRO or aviation environment.
- Proficiency in Quantum Control and Excel.
- Familiarity with lean principles and inventory management techniques.
- Strong knowledge of FAA/EASA regulations and requirements for material traceability.
- Leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to lead teams preferred.
