About the role

The Inventory & Purchasing Manager will lead inventory management and purchasing activities, ensuring the right materials are available at the right time to support business operations and customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to support on-time delivery and meet customer requirements.
  • Identify and evaluate new materials, suppliers, and processes to improve quality, reliability, cost-effectiveness, supply continuity, and delivery performance.
  • Establish inventory control procedures and oversee the annual physical inventory process.
  • Lead, coach, develop, and evaluate members of the inventory and purchasing team.
  • Partner with product line coordinators to support forecasting and planning activities that align inventory levels with customer demand and shipment schedules.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and negotiate pricing, terms, and service agreements.
  • Purchase supplies and materials in accordance with established specifications and business requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and procedures related to all materials management and purchasing functions.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study required.
  • Experience: 5-7 years directly related experience required; 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory role preferred.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
