Materials Management Worker Senior
About the role
The Inventory & Purchasing Manager will lead inventory management and purchasing activities, ensuring the right materials are available at the right time to support business operations and customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to support on-time delivery and meet customer requirements.
- Identify and evaluate new materials, suppliers, and processes to improve quality, reliability, cost-effectiveness, supply continuity, and delivery performance.
- Establish inventory control procedures and oversee the annual physical inventory process.
- Lead, coach, develop, and evaluate members of the inventory and purchasing team.
- Partner with product line coordinators to support forecasting and planning activities that align inventory levels with customer demand and shipment schedules.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and negotiate pricing, terms, and service agreements.
- Purchase supplies and materials in accordance with established specifications and business requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and procedures related to all materials management and purchasing functions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study required.
- Experience: 5-7 years directly related experience required; 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory role preferred.
