Materials Management Medical Buyer

Responsibilities

• Effectively interacts with most department employees and all managers/directors throughout the hospital.
• Interacts in a positive manner with vendors.
• Checks on backorders.
• Accounts for invoices.
• Affords assistance in shipping and receiving.
• Affords assistance with filing when needed.
• Tracks orders.
• Affords assistance to the SPD.
• Affords assistance to the Materials Manager.
• Updates item master with changes.
• Tracks lost charges.
• Affords assistance with patient charges as needed.
• Affords assistance with month end processes.
• Works closely with other departments.
• Affords excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Driver's License.
• Training/Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to prioritize and solve problems.
• A good sense of responsibility and integrity.
• Medical terminology experience.
• Medical supply purchasing experience.
• Good driving record.
• Courier experience a plus but not necessary.
