Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on laboratory testing in materials characterization and application development laboratories.
- Prepare samples and conduct physical, analytical, and biological testing on porous materials and prototype products.
- Absorb and assist engineers in designing experiments and developing test methods using Design of Experiments (DOE) principles.
- Operate laboratory equipment following established procedures and safety protocols.
- Analyze experimental results using statistical and data analysis tools.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate findings.
- Collaborate with engineers and scientists to support customer development projects and new technology initiatives.
- Maintain laboratory organization, equipment, and documentation following Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
Qualifications
- Preferred fields of study: Materials Science & Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biological Sciences, Other related Engineering or Science disciplines.
- Preferred Qualifications: Sophomore or Junior standing in an undergraduate program, Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Interest in research, product development, laboratory experimentation, and data analysis, Experience with laboratory equipment or scientific software is beneficial but not required.
