Position Summary
The Materials Handler will be responsible for unloading product deliveries, staging products based on company needs, and assisting with organizing and maintaining existing inventory. This role reports to the QA Manager and is based out of our Springdale, Arkansas location. Shift: 2B Wed 12am-6am Thurs-Sat 6pm-6am Off Sun-Tues
Primary Responsibilities
- Limits to loads and unloads material within the warehouse facility
- Utilizes hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors or other handling equipment to move material to and from trucks within the warehouse
- Records flow information of materials and products
- Has knowledge of standard practices and procedures
- Rely on limited experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals
- Accountable for food safety, food quality and regulatory requirements for their position
- Awareness of SQF requirements for their position
- Empowered to work with supervision to resolve food safety and food quality issues within their scope of work
- This role will be required to taste test product as needed, up to a couple ounces per test.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned
Education And Experience
- Minimum Required Qualifications: 3-5 years of related experience. A high school diploma or equivalent Forklift experience 1-2 years
- Must be detailed oriented and can multi-task
- Must have excellent time management skills
- Additional Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the food/beverage industry (a plus) Previous experience in Manufacturing or production environment (a plus) Ability to direct, coach and train others. Consultative, influential, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Frequent: Ability to talk and hear; ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, bend and/or crouch; push/pull; lift up to 50 pounds; use of hands and fingers to operate machinery/equipment and all manual and electronic equipment in area of responsibility.
- OCCASIONAL: Squatting, kneeling, ability to reach above and at shoulder height. Ability to wear a dust mask, and perform Confined Entry using LOTO program. Exposure to toxic and corrosive chemicals.
