Responsibilities
- Perform an in-depth documentation review of materials received and process certifications from suppliers for first article and production parts.
- Develop reverse engineering materials test plans to be sent to outside labs.
- Provide support in preparation of documentation required to send first article and production parts to outside Materials Analysis labs.
- Interface with outside labs, review test reports for accuracy, and complete test plans.
- Perform in-house materials testing with XRF equipment, FTIR, Rockwell hardness, Shore hardness, and passivation test (training will be provided).
- Develop and maintain materials and process specifications in compliance with aerospace standards (e.g., ASTM, AMS, MIL).
- Other duties assigned by Materials Engineering.
