About 3D Architech

3D Architech is pioneering next-generation metal manufacturing infrastructures that push the boundaries of design at the unprecedented scale – 10 micron or lower. Our proprietary gel-enabled metal manufacturing platform enables geometries, thermal performance, and materials combinations that are not achievable with conventional additive or subtractive processes. Our operation across the USA, Japan, and Taiwan, bridges advanced materials R&D with scalable manufacturing for thermal management applications.

Role Overview

In this role, you will lead the development of advanced materials and components using our proprietary gel-enabled metal manufacturing technology. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to address complex technical challenges and scale up our innovative solutions from R&D to manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advance the pyrometallurgy, material science, and polymer-to-metal conversion chemistry, and lead in designing and developing advanced materials and components
  • Identify technical challenges from first-principles approach and develop hypothesis-driven solutions
  • Collaborate with external partners and establish strategic alliances
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends in advanced materials, manufacturing, thermal engineering, and data centers.

Required Qualifications

  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Proven experience leading R&D teams in materials science, chemical engineering, or related fields
  • Drive technology development in environments with high uncertainty and ambitious timelines
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a first-principles approach
  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry, Process Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Instinctual compulsion to test your ideas at the bench
  • Experience or strong interest in thermal management systems, including heatsink or cold plate design (theory, simulation, experimentation)
  • Expertise or strong interest in fluid dynamics simulation, particularly in thermal or catalytic systems
  • Experience with analytical equipment related to inorganic compounds or materials and high temperature equipment or reactors
  • Proficiency in standard PC tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience or strong interest in thermal management systems, including heatsink or cold plate design (theory, simulation, experimentation)
Expertise or strong interest in fluid dynamics simulation, particularly in thermal or catalytic systems
