Materials Dispatcher

Department: Manufacturing – Machine Shop

Location: Columbia, PA – Plant

Description

As a Material Dispatcher, you will be responsible for keeping the inventory locations clean and organized, assisting supervisors with work center schedules and material movements, partnering with the Supervisor or Expeditor on special projects and assignments, working closely with the material handlers to assure proper product flow, and other duties and responsibilities as outlined by supervision.

How You Will Help

• Review work center dispatch reports and issue/print travelers for manufacturing orders (MOs).
• Issue the MOs to material handlers to pull and issue materials.
• Maintain inventory accuracy in inventory locations.

Responsibilities

• Cycle count inventory in your area of responsibility.
• Investigate and address inventory discrepancies upon discovery, using a cross‑functional team when necessary.
• Provide information required to correct discrepancies in the system to the Supervisor or Expeditor.
• Assist with scheduling and moving material to equipment as needed.
• Assist the material handler with transactions, issuing and staging material.
• Partner with the Supervisor or Expeditor to assure smooth flow of product.
• Operate a forklift to move material between locations (licensed forklift operator required).
• Set up specific inventory locations with barcode labels, use handheld scanners, and maintain the upkeep of the areas, ensuring all transactions are performed properly.
• Use the M3 system to ensure manufacturing and movement of goods throughout the facility.
• Additional responsibilities and duties may be assigned.

Pay

Starting pay rate $22.81 per hour.

Schedule

• 1st Shift – Standard shift Monday‑Friday.
• Sundays off.
• Overtime offered.
