The Materials Coordinator facilitates the distribution of supplies in accordance with hospital and departmental policy and procedure. Serves as a purchasing/supply resource to hospital staff, as well as other areas as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Maintains and stocks assigned supply locations.
- Processes departmental requisitions electronically.
- Receives, processes returns, and maintains par levels.
- Replenishments code carts.
- Maintains supply database to reflect items additions/deletions and par level adjustments.
- Ensures organization and cleanliness within inventory supply rooms.
- Maintains all required competencies.
- Performs other Materials Management functions as requested by the Supervisor.
- Maintains annual safety and infection control in-services in addition to educational hours to meet requirements.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
