Primary Responsibility
The Materials Coordinator will receive shipments from external vendors and complete transactions in Eaton systems to maintain accurate inventory with the overall goal of timely order fulfillment and adherence to Eaton’s quality standards. They will also support materials movement between local Eaton locations.
Essential Functions
- Utilize computer, coordinate cycle count function in the storeroom.
- Run printouts for cycle count origination.
- Analyze cycle counts for acceptable tolerances and accuracy.
- Resolve all errors by research and auditing of all transactions.
- Receive outsourced parts from external suppliers, release the orders in the system for Receiving team to receive based on the packing slips.
- Handle the materials movement on the floor and between Eaton locations from warehouse to the main plant, Mission Critical etc.
- Create labels for the outsourced parts, implement racking solutions for the parts (labeling, storing the parts, etc.).
- Perform quality checks as instructed.
- Exhibit a strong adherence to quality by continually seeking methods of improvement for all functions of the position.
Qualifications
- BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution. Must possess a valid drivers license. Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing or operations experience in shipping, receiving, inventory management, warehouse, material handling or related field. Current or prior certification in operation of forklifts used to transport and locate equipment and materials to required areas. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Computer literate. Current CDL License. Working knowledge of Lean concepts. Knowledge of processes and procedures related to steel and bus fabrication, purchasing, receiving, shipping, and inventory control. Broad range of knowledge in materials planning, scheduling, receiving, shipping, and tracking systems. Computer skills include Excel, Word, DMM, AS400, Mapics, Vista, & Outlook.

Additional Information
