Materials Coordinator - 1420
About the role
The Materials Coordinator will be responsible for Logistics, Supply Chain, Quality, and Inventory Control in the Parts Department. This position requires the coordinator to display a professional demeanor and project this atmosphere to our vendors, customers and fellow coworkers. This challenging position is key to providing our vendors and customers with the same exceptional service they are accustomed to wherever their aircraft may be while working with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Accept and inspect shipments that arrive at the facility.
- Properly prepare and adequately package shipments to ensure the safe delivery of parts and supplies to their destination as required.
- Carefully track cores and ensure they are returned to vendors or customers as required in a timely manner while ensuring no damage is caused while in our care or during transit.
- Perform receiving inspections under IAW FAA and Jet East Certified Repair Station guidelines to ensure accuracy of the order and accompanying paperwork.
- Ensure archival of all necessary FAA paperwork IAW Jet East Repair Station requirements and ensure all repair station paperwork is complete and free of errors.
- Assist in preparations for FAA, customer, and vendor audits as necessary.
- Affiliate with maintaining inventory levels as well as a clean & organized parts room.
- Affiliate with ensuring necessary segregation, security, and proper storage of parts and materials.
- Affiliate with ensuring physical inventory counts are completed as required.
- Monitor shelf life of parts and materials to ensure compliance with manufacturer recommendations and limitations.
- Performs special projects and/or other duties as assigned.
- Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English.
Requirements
- A High school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
- Prior experience in inventory or warehouse support & control is preferred.
- Experience with Apple and Microsoft products, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel spreadsheets are ideal.

- Self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment where working under specific deadlines and time constraints will be common.
- Well organized, have a high attention to detail, strong written/verbal/analytical and interpersonal skills and the capability to work with minimal supervision.
- Attend work every day as scheduled. Notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work. Must have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day. Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.

Pay
The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $22.00 - $24.00. Actual hourly rate will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience and performance.
Schedule
Flexible Work Schedules include 5x8, 4x10 and 3x12.
