MATERIALS AND STORES SUPERVISOR II (CORRECTIONAL FACILITY)

This position is located at Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility in San Diego County. Limited Term appointment for 12 months; may be extended up to 24 months or become permanent. Main communication for this position will be through email.

About the Facility

Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility (RJDCF) is a multi-mission institution with the primary mission of housing General Population and SNY, Level I, II, III & IV incarcerated individuals. The facility provides health care services and rehabilitative programs, including housing for incarcerated people with severe mental illness and developmental disabilities, and officer coverage for those treated in community hospitals throughout San Diego County.

Responsibilities

• Supervise clothing storage and distribution within the facility.
• Manage the Recycling and Salvage Program (RASP) Yard, including oversight of the Heavy Truck Driver, CF.
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships within the department, other governmental agencies, health care partners, and communities.

• Candidates with foreign education must obtain and submit verification of U.S. course/degree equivalency from a NACES-approved service.
• New hires must submit to a background investigation, including Live Scan Fingerprinting, and a Tuberculosis test/evaluation prior to appointment, with annual testing thereafter.

Pay

Monthly salary range: $4,757.00 - $6,239.00 (Range A) or $5,272.00 - $6,525.00 (Range S). New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.

Schedule

• Full-time, 12-month Limited Term position.
• Work Shift: 0800-1600 hours.
• Work Week: Monday-Friday.
• Telework: In-office.
