Materials Analyst

Responsibilities

• Ensure on-time delivery of customer orders and acquisition of materials.
• Optimize freight and inventories.
• Implement, schedule production, manage logistics and inventory control processes ensuring materials availability for uninterrupted production flow according to delivery schedules while maintaining minimum inventories.
• Select, motivate, train, and develop a competent department and materials handling staff.
• Anticipate and resolve problems with short-term and permanent corrective action.
• Assist with warehouse layout and execution.
• Daily walks verifying material is stored in the proper location.
• Aid in the management of the most economical inbound/outbound transportation routes, seeking opportunities for combining shipments, milk runs, and warehouse consolidation and distribution.

  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work additional hours and / or overtime as needed or assigned to complete job duties on time.
  • Ability to multitask, interact politely and professionally with customers, suppliers and vendors, and work cooperatively with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to maintain predictable and regular attendance, arrive to designated location on time, or be at assigned location ready to work for assignments (plant, corporate office, or remote).

  Qualifications

  • 1 - 3 Minimum Years of Experience.
  • Less Than 1 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry.
  • Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.
