Materials Analyst

We are hiring for one of our clients, a global leader in the manufacturing and production industry. This contract role supports critical supply chain functions in an on-site capacity, contributing to streamlined operations and cost efficiency.

About the role

As a Senior Materials Management Analyst, you will oversee supply chain operations and ensure efficient material flow across manufacturing and distribution sites. The position involves analyzing inventory levels and identifying cost-saving opportunities in procurement processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead materials planning and procurement activities to meet production demand and minimize shortages.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, logistics, and finance to optimize inventory levels.
• Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities in material management.
• Develop and implement strategies to reduce excess inventory and improve supplier performance metrics.
• Monitor key performance indicators to ensure alignment with supply chain and operational targets.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in materials management, supply chain, or procurement.
• Proficiency in enterprise resource planning systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical skills with experience using data analysis tools including Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Experience working in manufacturing, industrial, or chemical industries preferred.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to interface with multiple departments.
