About the role
Vulcan Lab Technicians perform heat treated and cold drawn sample machining and testing on an ongoing basis to support H/T and Bar mill operations.
Responsibilities
- Overtime work might be required.
- Safely perform production sample cutting/preparation and testing (including Rockwell and Brinell Hardness, Tensile, Charpy Impact).
- Responsible for daily verifications and cleaning/maintenance of respective Lab equipment.
- Aid operations in maintaining a safe work environment for all employees.
Requirements
- Mechanically inclined and capable of lifting weights up to 60 lbs.
- Dedicated to safety.
- Detail oriented.
Preferred
- CNC machine operation and maintenance.
- Material testing.
