Material Support Agent

About the role

The Material Support agent at Hawaiian Airlines is responsible for processing orders and parts, receiving, storing, and shipping materials. This role is union-represented and requires training and passing forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepares proper documents and enters all necessary transactions in Maintenance Inventory Management System (TRAX).
• Receives, unloads, unpacks, checks, and identifies all incoming material.
• Stores all parts and material after ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
• Processes outgoing material.
• Assembles kits required for aircraft checks.
• Performs monthly shelf life checks and physical inventory counts.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements

• Ability to learn and operate the Maintenance Inventory Management System (TRAX), and other computer systems as necessary.
• Must be able and willing to train and pass forklift certification.
• Must be able to demonstrate ability to type 30 WPM.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, reach, and grasp.
• Valid unexpired driver's license issued by a US state, a US territory or the District of Columbia.
• Flexible to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum age of 18.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Skills

• Ability to learn and operate the Maintenance Inventory Management System (TRAX), and other computer systems as necessary.
• Prior experience with TRAX.
• Prior experience with inventory management.
• Experience in lean or other continuous improvement environments.

Starting Rate

USD $18.34/Hr.

Airport SIDA Badge Requirements

Employees working at an airport or maintenance hangar will be required to obtain a SIDA badge provided by the airport authority and maintain good standing in order to keep their SIDA badge. Review the SIDA Badge Requirements document for a comprehensive overview. If an employee does not qualify for a SIDA badge or has their SIDA badge pulled from them, the employee will be terminated.
