Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming materials, verify packing lists, and inspect items for damage or defects.
- Accurately label and store materials in assigned storage locations.
- Maintain inventory records using manual logs or inventory management systems.
- Pick and prepare materials for production orders or shipments.
- Perform regular cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits.
- Ensure storage areas are organized, clean, and in compliance with safety standards.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment (if certified).
- Report inventory discrepancies, shortages, or damages to the supervisor.
- Follow proper procedures for handling hazardous materials (if applicable).
- Assist with loading/unloading trucks and coordinating with logistics staff.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse, inventory, or material handling experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data entry, sorting, filtering, and maintaining inventory spreadsheets.
- Ability to accurately maintain inventory records and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Experience forklift operator.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
