Material Stocker, 2nd Shift

About the Role

American Woodmark in Cumberland, MD is seeking a Material Stocker to handle and transfer materials using industrial equipment. This role is essential for maintaining accurate inventory and ensuring materials are stocked correctly.

Responsibilities

• Accurately interpret pallet paperwork and labels
• Maintain familiarity with plant layout and stock locations
• Safely use a pallet jack to perform various tasks
• Enter plant receipt reports into a computerized database
• Receive and stock materials in correct locations
• Identify all cabinet parts, components, and stock locations
• Identify and process damaged or flawed material instead of stocking it
• Maintain a safe work environment, including housekeeping
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Ability to identify cabinet types, wood species, finishes, and color variances
• Ability to use basic math concepts and read a standard tape measure
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time
• Frequent bending, crouching, pulling, and pushing
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 20 lbs, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs

Working Conditions

• Indoor environment with excessive hot, humid, and cold temperatures
• Protective safety gear required, including safety glasses and gloves
• Moderate to high noise levels
• Occasional overtime and weekend work as required
