Contract opportunity at Westinghouse Columbia Fuels facility, Hopkins, SC.

Responsibilities

• Primary function: Move, receive, ship, weight, store, issue, pack/unpack purchased parts and supplies.
• Work from approved operating procedures and instructions.
• Receive, unload, unpack, verify and record received materials, parts, tools, and supplies.
• Report and help resolve discrepancies.
• Store and deliver materials.
• Perform necessary material traceability and accountability transactions.
• Contact customers of materials received.
• Issue or dispatch items to authorized locations and employees.
• Record appropriate transactions.
• Conduct inventories and periodic audits of stored or controlled items.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a clean condition.
• Tools and equipment include a fork‑lift and a crane; also vehicles, pallets, skids, boxes, banding machine, lumber, nails, bolts, waterproofing materials, spray paint and equipment, hand tools, several manual and power saws, scales, hand trucks, dollies, marking devices, bins, and forms.
• Additional items: requisitions, inventory reports, files, transfers, computer documents, and scrap documents.
• Materials handled: variety of raw, in‑process and finished material, machine tools, purchased parts, paint, oil, special nuclear and other types of hazardous materials.

Qualifications

Pay

The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $20/hour to $20/hour.
