What You'll Do
- Develop, solve, and review advanced materials science problems with real-world scientific relevance
- Apply your expertise in semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or related areas to design complex, challenging problem statements
- Evaluate AI-generated scientific reasoning and outputs for accuracy, depth, and rigor
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and other domain experts to push the boundaries of AI scientific reasoning
- Ensure scientific clarity, precision, and depth across all deliverables
- Work independently on task-based assignments — fully on your own schedule
Who You Are
- Master's or PhD in Materials Science or a closely related field
- Strong expertise in semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or adjacent research areas
- Comfortable coding in Python or MATLAB for research or technical problem-solving
- Exceptionally clear written communicator with a sharp eye for detail
- Fully fluent in English and currently based in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, or New Zealand
- Self-motivated and rigorous when working independently
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with data annotation, data labeling, or AI evaluation workflows
- Background in computational materials science, surface science, or nanomaterials
- Experience reviewing or writing technical scientific content at a high level
- Familiarity with AI tools or large language model interfaces as an end user
