What You Will Do
- Proactively compile, monitor, and manage Collaborative Planning reports to ensure adequate stocking levels and recognize shortages and deficiencies, supporting customers in maintenance, planning, and operations.
- Receive and review a wide variety of requisitions.
- Support one or more specialized areas requiring an increased depth of knowledge.
- Communicate and expedite urgent customer requirements from maintenance, planning, and operations to GSC Shared Services and work within the GSC Shared Services Model.
- Obtain quotes from key suppliers using parts information from customers in maintenance, planning, and operations, monitor supplier performance, and lead supplier evaluations.
- Interview vendors to obtain information concerning product/service, price, availability, and delivery date.
- Collaborate with assigned customer departments in maintenance, planning, and operations to ensure needs are understood, documented, validated, and requirements are met.
- Discuss defects with quality control/inspection personnel to determine the source of defects and initiate corrective action.
- Analyze data to perform root cause analysis on issues impacting inventory performance and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
- Review bid proposals from vendors and recommend or enter into contracts within limits of delegated authority.
- Communicate master data changes and additions (MARS) to appropriate groups such as BOM, equipment, and material master data on behalf of customers in maintenance, planning, and operations.
- Maintain records of purchased items, costs, deliveries, performance, and inventory and approve bills for payments within limits of delegated authority.
- Ensure adherence to General Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial laws (SEC), Company policies, internal controls (SOX), and Principles of Business Conduct (PBC).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field, OR
- High School Diploma/GED and four (4) years of experience in Supply Chain, Business, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Skilled in Microsoft Applications, Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with SAP.
- Comfortable with public speaking and presenting data to large groups.
- Organizing data and communicating with vendors/suppliers.
- The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $64,000-$87,500. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits, or retirement contributions.
- Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills, and other job-related factors.
- This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
