Material Planner, CVRM (Holly Springs)
Pharma Technical Manufacturing (PTM) manages all aspects of end-to-end drug substance and drug product manufacturing and supply, from raw material to final medicine. We contribute to delivering Roche’s ground-breaking therapies to over 120 million patients worldwide, operating at 9 global sites. To support a step-change in Cardiovascular, Renal, and Metabolism (CVRM) care, PTM is constructing a new manufacturing site in Holly Springs, North Carolina, focused on large-volume, low-cost Drug Product manufacturing.
About the role
We're looking for a highly skilled Material Planner to join our team. In this role, you'll maintain material supply to meet production demand, bridging the gap between global procurement and production. You will also act as the artwork change coordinator, ensuring changes to artwork are considered in procurement and stocking of packaging materials for finished goods.
Responsibilities
- Start-Up Phase:
- Manage the material plan to support vendor and site testing of manufacturing equipment during Factory and Site Acceptance Testing through qualification.
- Coordinate with multiple vendors, European Roche sites, and procurement.
- Act as a Materials Management SME for SAP ERP setup and deployment, ensuring adherence to global template processes for MRP, material planning, and procurement.
- Establish vendor relationships for material suppliers and local service providers, participating in vendor contracting, qualification, and ongoing performance improvement.
- Post Start-Up:
- Work with Global Procurement to ensure uninterrupted material supply and manage long-lead time materials.
- Develop plans to avoid material shortages and optimize inventory to minimize expiration and storage space.
- Act as the artwork change coordinator, ensuring correct packaging artwork is available on time.
- Partner with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components for production.
- Monitor inventory levels and adjust the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to prevent stockouts or excessive inventory.
- Manage vendor relationships to identify areas for improvement and ensure performance meets business and quality expectations.
- Utilize SAP S/4HANA for planning and execution, and OMP for advanced planning and scheduling.
- Apply standard Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM) principles and best practices in material planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a material planner or similar supply chain planning role.
- Proven experience with ERP planning processes and software (e.g., SAP S/4HANA and OMP).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to analyze complex data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPIM (Certified in Planning and Inventory Management) or CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) certification.
- Advanced degree (e.g., Masters, MBA).
- Experience with large-scale ERP project implementation.
Pay
The expected salary range for this position in Holly Springs, North Carolina is $87,500 - $162,500. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, level, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
