About the role
Seemann Composites, LLC is a leading manufacturer of composite and polymer solutions, specializing in products for the United States Navy's submarine fleet and new construction. The company is AS9100 Quality System certified and known for its innovative SCRIMP (Resin Infusion Molding Process).
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Safely transport materials to designated storage or production areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or carts.
- Stage materials for production according to work orders and schedules.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using manual logs or inventory management systems.
- Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventories as required.
- Ensure materials are properly labeled, stored, and protected from damage.
- Load and unload trucks in accordance with safety procedures.
- Return unused materials to inventory and update records accordingly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company and OSHA standards.
- Communicate material shortages, damages, or discrepancies to supervisors.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist other departments as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or material handling role preferred.
- Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
- Basic math skills and ability to read work orders, labels, and inventory documentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Essential Physical Requirement: Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds regularly; stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods; operate material handling equipment safely; work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and temperature variations.
