Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Materials Planner to support the planning, execution, and optimization of supply chain operations. This role is responsible for analyzing supply chain data, monitoring inventory and demand trends, identifying process improvements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency and service excellence. The ideal candidate is data-driven, highly organized, and passionate about solving complex business challenges through analysis and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor inventory levels, demand forecasts, and replenishment activities to ensure product availability.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supply chain performance.
- Support demand planning, inventory planning, and supply planning processes.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Operations, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Sales teams to align supply chain activities with business objectives.
- Utilize ERP systems (SAP preferred) to manage and analyze supply chain data.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies, order delays, and service issues, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
- Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, reduce costs, and increase operational efficiency.
- Assist in forecasting, capacity planning, and supply chain optimization initiatives.
- Generate analytical reports and present findings to stakeholders and leadership.
- Support continuous improvement projects focused on process standardization and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Finance, Analytics, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, inventory management, demand planning, procurement, or a related analytical role.
- Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large data sets.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis, and reporting.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP, Oracle, JDE, or other ERP systems.
- Familiarity with business intelligence and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or SQL.
- Understanding of supply chain concepts including inventory management, forecasting, procurement, logistics, and demand planning.
- Experience supporting continuous improvement or Lean initiatives.
