Material Planner
About the role
We are seeking a Material Planner to work closely within the Supply Chain Team and Production Control. The Supply Chain and Production Control team is a key function in procuring & managing the production flow of goods and services to ensure manufacturing readiness. The Material Planner position in on site at the Apex Production facility.
Responsibilities
Ownership and demand planning for on time delivery of raw materials and finished goods
Work closely with the purchasing and supply chain team to ensure accurate forecast and timely orders being placed with suppliers
Report out to leadership as needed regarding any possible material shortages
Proactive approach to problem solving and determining root cause analysis with vendors
Develop, implement, and maintain material planning best practices within applicable systems such as MRP
Order creation and placement based on production schedules
Scenario planning for different build variations as required
Implementation of Continuous improvement mindset
Requirements
U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled data
2+ years in relevant fast paced industry with demonstrated track record of success and on time delivery
Bachelor Degree in relevant field
Willingness to travel up to 25 % of the time
Qualifications
Experience in material planning and supply chain management
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Skills
Proficiency in ERP systems (MRP)
Knowledge of supply chain management principles
Experience with project management tools
