About the role
The Part-Time Material Management Associate maintains inventory across the hospital, ensuring no stockouts, no product expirations, and adherence to DOH and Joint Commission standards. Daily tasks include cycle counts, stock rotation, shelf organization, and removal of outdated items. The position involves using barcodes in the replenishment process, maintaining accurate data, and transporting materials and supplies.
Responsibilities
- Maintain inventory levels and ensure no stockouts or product expirations
- Cycle count, rotate stock, organize shelves, and remove outdated items daily
- Print pick slips through the materials management system daily
- Use barcodes daily in the replenishment process
- Maintain accurate data of materials received, delivered, or dispensed
- Collect and transport materials and supplies to and from all hospital areas and the Materials Services storeroom
- Maintain par inventory storage and stock levels of materials and supplies on all units and within the Materials Services area
Requirements
This position requires a minimum of one year related experience in inventory management. A High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
