About the Role

As an Ingalls Material Man, you perform a variety of tasks in connection with the receipt, storage, and issuance of storeroom electrical materials. Your work supports the daily operations of America's most advanced naval shipyard, keeping "America's Shipyard" moving every single day.

Responsibilities

  • Receipt of inventory using the system of records
  • Storage of electrical materials
  • Issuance of inventory
  • Perform inventory management reconciliation
  • Work in an active shipyard environment that may involve varying conditions, heights, and warehouses
  • Maintain safety practices that meet — and often exceed — industry standards

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years of material handling or related shipyard experience
  • Proven experience in material management
  • Basic to advanced computer skills
  • Knowledge and management of inventory control systems
  • Commitment to safety, precision, and teamwork

Nice to Have

  • Forklift skills
  • Advanced computer skills

Pay

Earn up to $32.45 per hour based on experience and qualifications. Opportunities for overtime and long-term advancement.
