Material Logistics Coordinator

Responsibilities

• To process and receive, materials and equipment, and maintain inventory control and records;
• Perform related work.
• Completes accurate tally of goods and services received, which includes: weight, destination, and charges from bills of lading and shipper’s declaration
• Receives incoming materials and compares information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment; may process return shipments from customers
• Traces lost shipments and/or customer claims of lost shipments; initiates retrieval of proof of delivery documents
• Partner with inside sales to review and correct customer order discrepancies
• Communicates with transport companies and suppliers in order to expedite, trace, or return merchandise that does not conform to specifications or purchase orders
• Solves discrepancies on the Metalware system or on manifest
• Keeps records of materials received and uploads to the Imaging system for the team to access

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Related industry experience preferred

Requirements

• Possess effective communication skills, which include verbal and written
• Experience with Microsoft Office
• Willingness to learn mainframe program (Metalware)
