Responsibilities
- Supervise and train warehouse staff on operations, safety, and equipment use.
- Lead daily huddles to review schedules, safety, and workflow.
- Oversee inventory control, cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation to maintain 98% inventory accuracy.
- Track expiration-sensitive materials and communicate usage priorities.
- Ensure pick lists are completed accurately and materials are loaded/unloaded safely.
- Communicate with construction teams to coordinate material needs.
- Audit receiving procedures and inspect incoming goods for accuracy and quality.
- Operate and oversee forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Ensure the warehouse and facility remain clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant.
- Coordinate repairs and report maintenance needs to the Fleet & Equipment team.
- Enforce safety procedures and compliance with OSHA, state, and federal regulations.
Requirements
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); technical training, certifications, or college degree (preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of warehouse experience (required).
- At least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role (required).
- Experience handling roofing and HVAC materials (required).
- Previous construction industry experience (preferred).
- Forklift certification (preferred).
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
- Ability to lift 100 lbs or more.
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug and agility tests, and background check.
Skills
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent organizational and planning abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and warehouse management systems.
- Ability to conduct accurate inventory counts and maintain high accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
- Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
