Material Handling - Shipping Admin (Onsite)

About the role

The role is located at US-IL-ROCKFORD-P6 at 4747 Harrison Ave. It is an Onsite position requiring a U.S. government issued security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Organize transportation activities, including managing information from point of origin to delivery
• Manage transportation movements and arrange for services as necessary
• Certify shipments in accordance with various regulations (49 CFR, IATA, NISPOM, 32 CFR, AFMAN, and Defense Transportation Regulations)
• Maintain traffic accountability records and oversee the delivery of classified shipments
• Arrange for the disposal of surplus or obsolete material
• Prepare shipping labels, Hazardous Material Declarations, Bill of Lading, and Airway Bills for outbound movement
• Coordinate and track the movement of goods through logistic pathways
• Execute logistics plans to move products and packages to reach destinations on schedule
• Prioritize daily workloads and maintain quality throughout the shipment process
• Communicate directly with internal and external customers

Qualifications

• Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
• Experience with shipping and packing hazardous materials for domestic and international movement
• US Citizen - Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
