Material Handling Lead - 2nd Shift

About the role

Continue the flow of manufacturing products being put away in sheet, profile, and injection parts. Show leadership, follow company safety standards, and hold both 2nd and 3rd shift employees accountable to their job descriptions.

Responsibilities

• Assist material handlers
• Manage emails
• Maintain product flow from manufacturing
• Maintain and promote ISO standards
• Perform all other assigned duties
• Conduct nightly clean-ups
• Ensure constant product rotation (FIFO)
• Follow safety rules
• Create a nightly plan for putting products away
• Pull monthly scrap
• Pull and combine empty boxes as needed

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be computer literate
• Good communication skills
• Leadership ability
• Understand NetSuite/Employee portal
• Ability to train new employees
• Ability to comprehend written and/or verbal communications
• InPro product knowledge
• Forklift certification
• Learning barcode process
• Standing lift certification

Authority

• Authority to stop production for non-conforming quality or safety compliance
• Enforce company policies and procedures
• Delegate responsibility and move personnel to needed work areas
• Make decisions on product conformance to specifications
• Make logical decisions based on experience and company policy

Job Relationships

• Reports to the Distribution Supervisor
• Work as a lead on the floor
• Work closely with all Supervisors and Leads on the floor
• Work with all Distribution personnel

Schedule

Monday - Thursday, 4 pm - 2 am, with overtime as needed.
