Lead Material Handler/2nd Shift

About the role

Operates gasoline-, liquefied gas-, or electric-powered industrial equipment equipped with lifting devices, such as sit-down, stand-up, clamp or other elevating equipment to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials in a distribution center or storage yard.

Responsibilities

• Supports, trains and certifies newly hired LTOs
• Operates industrial powered lift truck in a safe and efficient manner
• In the absence of the Shift Supervisor, acts as Supervisor as needed
• Inventories materials on work floor and supplies workers with materials as needed
• Assists Supervisors and management in planning, assigning and directing work
• Assists LTOs with daily issues
• Assists other Leads and Supervisors with ensuring policies, procedures, and best practices are followed
• Follows corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and reports noncompliance when observed
• Observes all company safety rules and assists in enforcement as appropriate
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must successfully complete post-hire assessments
• Must obtain and maintain equipment certifications (e.g., OSHA, company, etc.)
• Must wear personal protective equipment appropriate for the work environment (e.g., protective footwear, protective eyewear, gloves, etc.) in accordance with safety policies

Schedule

Monday–Thursday, 4:30 PM – 3:00 AM

Pay

$24 per hour plus $1.00 per hour shift differential
