Responsibilities

• Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments
• Prepares items for shipment
• Reading and understanding Shipping Schedule
• Retrieving frames from outside using a forklift
• Grinding and painting the underside of carrier bodies
• Assembling/joining the body and frame together
• Moving carrier bodies using a manual push cart
• Operating overhead crane to move, or hoist shipments to storage or work area
• Attaching shipping stands to carrier bodies
• Removing and storing lumber
• Using miter saw to cut lumber for stacking units
• Identifying any quality issues (weld, paint, etc.) before product is shipped out to customers
• Testing hydraulic functions
• Aiding in the shipping department as needed
• Keeping work areas clean, orderly, and free of safety hazards
• Following all safety rules, OSHA regulations, and plant procedures
• Wearing required PPE at all times
• Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• One to three months related experience and/or training
• Equivalent combination of education and experience
• Moderate data entry skills
