Job Summary

BASIC OVERVIEW

Responsibilities

• Order Picker
• Drive an order picker to assigned bins, identifying proper items and quantities for all orders
• Walk to assigned bins, identifying proper items and quantities for all orders
• Pick orders in a timely manner with strong attention to detail
• Use a scanner to verify and identify products and then load products onto a conveyor belt
• Order Prepper
• Prepare pallets for shipment by stacking, wrapping, and protecting orders in transit
• Operate wrap machines and adjust settings based on pallet size and weight
• Label orders with appropriate stickers
• Container Unloader
• Unload containers in a timely fashion, confirming item numbers and quantities
• Receive and stock inventory to fulfill orders
• Truck Loader
• Accurately identify carriers based on package labels
• Move palletized product to designated trucks
• Stack packages in trailers in an interlocking pattern
• Lock and unlock trailers as needed
• All Positions
• Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, and computers
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Monitor equipment and report issues to technicians
• Support the overall operation by flexing into other positions and undertaking additional duties

Qualifications

• Experience
• 1 year of relevant experience in a distribution environment; receiving and/or inventory experience preferred
• Education

• Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Works well individually and in a team environment
• Able and willing to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, order pickers, etc.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical and complex concepts in a simple and concise way
• Can manage multiple assignments and deadlines
• Able to quickly adapt to changing business needs and address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligence
• Customer-focused attitude and desire to exceed expectations
• Full shift ranging from 8-10 hours
• Follow all codes of conduct, safety parameters, productivity, and quality standards, as well as attendance policy
• Complete and pass all equipment training
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office - primarily Excel, Word, and Teams
• Business proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English
