Material Handler II ($18.00/hour)

About the role

The Material Handler II position is based out of Tampa, FL and reports to a Shift Lead. This role involves packing finished goods, monitoring products for defects, assisting in the start-up or changeover of products, and keeping the work area clean and organized.

Responsibilities

• Pack and bundle PVC conduit per packaging standards
• Learn about the PVC pipe manufacturing process from start to finish
• Assist with quality control duties, including but not limited to monitoring saw cuts, measuring pipe length, and ensuring the product color is accurate
• Become forklift-certified

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Experience in manufacturing or general labor is preferred
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required

Qualifications

• Within 3 months, you’ll pack and bundle PVC conduit per packaging standards
• You’ll learn about the PVC pipe manufacturing process from start to finish
• You’ll assist with quality control duties, including but not limited to monitoring saw cuts, measuring pipe length, and ensuring the product color is accurate
• You’ll become forklift-certified

Pay

A good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $18.00 per hour. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time.

Schedule

This position works either 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am.
