About the role
Ryder is hiring a Material Handler in Opa Locka, FL. Warehouse Associates work in clean, organized, and well-run facilities to provide the safest supply chain environment, handling retail items using equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, and order pickers.
Pay
Hourly Pay: $22.00 per hour with an additional $2.50 premium.
Schedule
1st Shift: Friday–Sunday, 5:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
- Valid forklift operator's license certified
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization
- Highly thorough and dependable with a strong attendance record
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative
- High level of accuracy, even under pressure
- Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Must follow health and safety methods
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including various shifts
- Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices

Responsibilities
- Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
- Adhere to performance measurement guidelines of the contract
- Accurately pick, pack, audit, induct totes, stage products, and load/unload trucks
- Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading)
- Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core production hours
- Perform other duties as assigned
