Material Handler, Weekend

About the role

As a General Warehouse Associate at DSV, you will be responsible for picking, scanning, labeling, moving, staging, replenishing, and stacking product. You will also count and inspect product, notifying leadership of any damages or discrepancies. This role involves the safe and efficient operation of equipment and compliance with all corporate and site-specific policies to meet company objectives in performance, safety, and quality.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick orders using a pallet jack to fulfill client demands.
• Efficiently stage picked products in appropriate areas.
• Stack, package, band, shrink wrap, and label products as required by client specifications.
• Verify that products and orders meet quality standards, reporting any damages or discrepancies.
• Execute all safety protocols and maintain a clean, orderly work environment.
• Maintain security of the warehouse and comply with all Standard Operating Procedures, corporate policies, safety rules, and OSHA/SDS Standards.
• Operate equipment such as pallet jacks safely and efficiently, reporting any equipment issues.
• Perform or assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned.
• Work overtime as required by business needs, whether mandatory or voluntary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Ability to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse (ranging from mild to moderate).
• Basic to intermediate mathematical skills for verifying quantities, counting inventory, and handling product distribution.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accomplish tasks accurately and timely.
• Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision and adapt to a fast-paced work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 months of experience working in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment.
• Current or prior Material Handling Equipment (MHE) certification.

Skills

• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, verbal).
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks.

Physical Demands

• Occasionally: Handling/fingering, sitting.
• Frequently: Bending.
• Constantly: Walking and standing.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 21-50 pounds.
• Reach above shoulder, outward, squat, or kneel.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is rarely exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

Pay

$16.00 per hour plus a $3.00 shift differential.

Schedule

Full Time, Weekend Shift.
