Material Handler Warehouse Hiring Immediately

About the role

Ryder is immediately hiring a Full Time Material Handler in Hagerstown, Maryland. This position involves operating a stand up forklift and order picker in a warehouse setting. The role also includes handling tools and equipment, performing tasks such as loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, cycle counting, and providing technical support for automated packing systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Auditing, staging products, and loading/unloading trucks
• Handling day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading)
• Providing technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during the core shift hour of production
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work within a diverse work environment
• Highly thorough and dependable
• Punctuality and good attendance record
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs
• Standing for long periods of time
• Health and safety methods
• Flexible schedule availability

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Pay

$21.00 per hour plus $1.50 per hour shift premium
