Material Handler Warehouse Hiring Immediately

About the role

Ryder is immediately hiring Warehouse Material Handler in Apopka, Florida. The role involves handling Consumer Packaged Goods using stand‑up forklifts, electric pallet jack, high reach forklifts, and cherry pickers in a state‑of‑the‑art equipment environment, with a focus on the safest supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Accurately pick and pack, audit, tote induction, stage products, and load/unload trucks.
• Handle day‑to‑day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for the automated packing system during core shift hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to work within a diverse work environment and create/maintain professional relationships at all levels.
• Must be punctual with a good attendance record.
• Perform work independently with minimal supervision, showing initiative and high accuracy even under pressure.
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work using health and safety methods.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule on various work shifts.
• Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices.
• Some positions may require additional screening (employment/education verification, motor vehicle records check, road test, badging or background checks).

Pay

Hourly pay: $19.95 per hour plus a $1.00 shift differential. Pay is weekly.
