Material Handler - Warehouse

Responsibilities

• Drives fork truck carefully and safely; reports all incidents immediately to the Shift Supervisor or Superintendent.
• Unloads, strips, and cleans empty material handling racks, and removes box ends as they arrive from VEKA’s customers.
• Records empty rack numbers and MRA material on rack receipts.
• Delivers empty material handling racks to the production floor and moves material handling racks with VEKA products to the back lot.
• Loads material handling racks with scrap material and customer cut-off boxes onto trailers for recycling.
• Moves products and other objects as required by job assignment to various locations.
• Inspects condition of material handling racks and takes broken racks to maintenance for repair.
• Weighs customer cutoffs and production scrap.
• Maintains accurate clerical records.

Requirements

• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts.

Skills

• Good verbal skills.
• Certified fork truck operator license.
