Material Handler/Warehouse Associate (1st Shift)
About the role
The Material Handler is responsible for scanning and loading staged finished product at the Raw Goods Warehouse location on the delivery truck and delivering to the Warehouse II location. They also unload and move to the appropriate area in the warehouse.
Responsibilities
- Attend and be on time for all pre-shift production meetings.
- Participate and adhere to all food safety and safety programs.
- Work safely, quickly, and efficiently to handle freight and move inventory throughout the warehouse.
- Maintain inventory utilizing scanning equipment, identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording in the ERP system.
- Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
- Maintain in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies, ensuring first in first out rotation utilizing the information in the ERP system.
- Document in the ERP system materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units.
- Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product and recording all transactions.
- Maintain material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections.
- Create and print all required labels for materials received.
- Transfer of finished product to Warehouse Staging, WIP as required.
- Proper storage and handling of all non-conforming and Work-In-Process materials.
- Loading and unloading of all trucks coming in to shipping/receiving and accurate completion of all receiving or shipping documents including transactions in the ERP system.
- Pick and stage orders while following FIFO and all customer requirements.
- Ensure that all the merchandise is safely and securely packed and labeled for shipping.
- Check and count all material unloaded for quantity discrepancies and notify the Purchasing Department when discrepancies occur.
- Stock incoming material in the appropriate inventory location.
- Provide delivery support as required.
- Receive supplies from vendors while verifying that they are correct, inspecting the product, identifying any missing, lost, or damaged materials/product, and immediately notify the supervisor.
- Keep an inventory through proper scanning of all product entering or exiting the warehouse.
- Set and ship orders following stock rotation procedures.
- Accurately and legibly maintain all shipping and receiving documents.
- Report to work on time and complete job tasks as assigned accurately and on time.
- Maintain a positive and respectful attitude while working independently and in a team environment.
- Effectively communicate all relevant information to your peer and supervisor.
- Immediately report any and all food safety and quality problems to management.
- Assist with training of newly employed workers.
- Maintain cleanliness, neatness, and safety of building and work area.
- Cycle-count and take weekly inventory within the warehouse.
- Understand that the day will include: driving the delivery truck, picking/staging orders, shipping orders, working alone, and working with a team, and strong accountability from management.

Qualifications
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- CDL with valid driver’s license preferred.
- 2+ Years RFG Gun experience required.
- 2+ Years Forklift experience required.
- Capable of reading and understanding all shipping and receiving documents.
- Computer knowledge to enter shipping/receiving documents.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers.
- Work independently; self-managed.
Skills
- High School Diploma or Equivalent

Pay
Salary Range: $XX.XX - $XXX.XX per hour
Schedule
Hours: Monday - Friday
First Shift: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Weekends may be required.
Overtime may be required.
