Responsibilities
- Move inventory and materials throughout the warehouse as needed.
- Sweep and vacuum around each press area as messes occur.
- Ensure the area around gaylords and compound holding areas remain clear and tidy.
- Regularly clear flash bins and remove any excess flash from surrounding areas.
- Consolidate empty gaylords, ensure recyclables are placed in the compactor, and trash is disposed of in dumpsters.
- Handle fragile and sensitive products with the highest level of care.
- Process inventory for deliveries and pickups.
- Sort, organize, and store inventory in its designated location.
- Report any damaged or missing inventory to supervisors.
- Stack and organize large bulk items.
- Operate necessary tools and equipment to maintain the warehouse.
- Unload inventory from trucks for shipping and delivery.
- Move materials from storage areas to pick-up zones or other locations as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by removing debris and potential hazards.
- Collaborate as part of a team to achieve departmental goals.
- Close out pickups in a timely manner.
- Keep accurate logs and documentation for inventory processing.
- Assist in maintaining and organizing up-to-date inventory records.
- Prepare documentation for inventory audits.
- Implement best practices for the safe and efficient handling of materials.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Forklift certification required.
- Ability to pass drug test and background check.
- Physical ability to stand, sit, walk, squat, and climb during shifts.
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds or more.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- High attention to detail and ability to monitor quality and quantity of inventory.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to store items efficiently.
- Knowledge of and adherence to health and safety regulations.
