Material Handler - Tulsa, OK

About the role

The Material Handler position is located at the FlexRig Machinery Center in Tulsa, OK. This is a contract position with a minimum duration of 3 to 6 months, with potential for conversion to full-time hire.

Responsibilities

• Review packing slips against purchase orders and material delivered for accuracy and complete receipt transactions
• Load and unload delivery trucks
• Ensure inventory accuracy regularly by completing cycle counts when issuing material
• Identify and work to resolve discrepancies in inventory
• Complete transactions in the inventory system for receipts, transfers, and adjustments
• Responsible for material movement throughout the facility
• Absorb frequent contact with office, shop, field operations, and engineering to give and receive information
• Absorb frequent contact with suppliers and trucking companies

Requirements

• High school degree or GED equivalent
• Previous material handling and/or receiving experience preferred
• Thorough knowledge of inventory/warehousing practices and procedures
• Thorough knowledge of purchasing, warehousing, and distributing material
• Good PC skills: Excel, Word, etc.
• Able to learn inventory system(s)
• Good written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively
• Able to operate forklift, aerial work platforms, and other material handling equipment

Qualifications
