Material Handler/Transportation Clerk $1500 SIGN ON BONUS

Job Site: Wilmington, IL

Second Shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 pm–3:30 am

Pay: $21.25/hr

About the Role

Under general supervision, performs a variety of technical and clerical tasks related to receiving, inspecting, storing, and shipping material. Duties include receipt, control, preparation, material distribution, records, and reports. Receives general direction on new assignments and instructions on required tasks and expected results.

Responsibilities

• Interface with carriers and customer service to address questions, concerns, and needs
• Act as backup for Outbound Transportation Clerk and UPS clerk as needed
• Answer telephone calls in a courteous and professional manner
• Gather information and prepare truck load report daily
• Assist with order processing
• Prepare government orders, including printing appropriate tire labels and government forms
• Run appropriate closing reports daily
• Maintain inventory levels of all office supplies
• Serve as a backup for daily productivity reports
• Perform manual, clerical, and data entry tasks

Requirements

• Demonstrate a strong and reliable work history

• Pass a pre-employment background check
• Successfully complete a drug screening and physical examination
• Be able to lift 55 lbs
