Material Handler - The Toro Company

Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm

Wage: $18-19/hr

Responsibilities

• Receiving: Unload trailers on a timely basis, including verification of loads compared to records such as manifests, invoices, and packing lists for accuracy. Operate sit-down clamp equipment and use RF scanners.
• General warehouse labor: Maintain warehouse upkeep and cleaning.
• Shipping: Fulfill customer orders for all shipment types (FTL, LTL, small package), including documentation control, scanning, picking, and ensuring accuracy of shipments in a timely manner based on established procedures.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of inventory management principles (receipt, transfers, weighing, and counting).
• Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, shipment tracking via the internet, and business software. Email experience is a plus.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience using RF units (scanners); experience with location transfers using RF is helpful.
• Ability to lift heavy objects manually or with assistance (pallet jack, forklift, dolly, or elevated lift machine).
• Willingness to work various shift hours and overtime based on company needs.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment, including handling international shipments and knowledge of pulling, picking, storing, and staging material.
