Material Handler Specialist (Monday-Thursday 6PM-4:30AM)

About The Role

McKesson is seeking a Material Handler Specialist to support overnight operations within our distribution center. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products while ensuring inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and a safe work environment. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect inbound shipments, verify quantities, and identify discrepancies or product damage.
• Accurately pick, pack, stage, and prepare customer orders for shipment using warehouse management systems and established procedures.
• Load and unload trucks safely using material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered industrial equipment.
• Perform inventory transactions, cycle counts, and stock replenishment activities to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Investigate and help resolve inventory discrepancies, shipment issues, and other operational challenges.
• Follow all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements while maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to support daily distribution center goals and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Typically requires 3+ years of related experience.
• Experience with order picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory management processes.
• Basic computer skills and experience using warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, or inventory tracking systems.

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Forklift certification or willing to attain certification.
• Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, or other material handling equipment.
• Experience working in a high-volume distribution center, warehouse, fulfillment center, or supply chain environment.
• Experience performing cycle counts, inventory audits, and discrepancy resolution.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures, inventory control best practices, and quality standards.
• Strong problem-solving, organization, and time management skills.
• Experience training, mentoring, or providing guidance to less experienced team members.
• Familiarity with Lean, Continuous Improvement, or operational excellence practices.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs throughout the shift.
• Regular use of material handling equipment and warehouse technology.
• Work is performed in a distribution center environment with exposure to moving equipment and varying temperatures.
• Must be able to safely perform the essential functions of the role while meeting all safety requirements.

Schedule

Monday-Thursday, 6PM-4:30AM, mandatory overtime as required.

Pay

Our Base Pay Range for this position is $16.94 - $28.24. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
