Material Handler - Shipping/Receiving

Job Summary

JAC Products is seeking a Material Handler - Shipping/Receiving to join their team in Saline, MI on 1st shift. Regular hours are 6:30AM - 2:30PM (subject to overtime) with a pay rate of $21.00/hr.

Contributions

• Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment
• Responsible for pulling material and delivering it to the dock
• Must pull part numbers and quantities on assigned pick list
• Responsible for checking all containers for correct part number and quantity
• Complete pick list when material is on the pallet counted and rechecked for loading
• Maintain all material handling supply equipment
• Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment, in addition to daily housekeeping, visual controls and workplace organization

Requirements

• Maintain a team-oriented working environment that allows for individual differences and provides for individual growth
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies and procedure manuals and operating instructions
• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
• Ability to use various types of tools (manual, electric, pneumatic, etc.)
• Basic computer skills
• Well-developed communication skills - both written & oral
• Knowledge of resins, materials and packaging products
• Knowledge of safety equipment/procedures on all presses and machinery
• Knowledge of lot control & lot control processes
• Ability to pass the necessary testing to obtain a lift truck license

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of six (6) months in a like or similar position
