Key Responsibilities
- Welcome Materials: Receive and unload incoming materials, supplies, and equipment with precision.
- Verification: Check items against purchase orders or invoices, ensuring accuracy and inspecting for damage.
- Organized Storage: Store items in designated locations within the warehouse or storage area, maintaining order.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of received items, including quantities, descriptions, and locations.
- Preservation: Ensure proper handling and storage of materials to prevent damage or deterioration.
- Inventory Management: Track inventory levels and movements to maintain optimal stock.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile inventory records with physical counts, ensuring accuracy.
- Audits: Perform cycle counts and physical inventory audits to uphold inventory integrity.
- Discrepancy Resolution: Identify and resolve discrepancies in inventory records promptly.
- Reporting: Prepare insightful reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and discrepancies.
- Fulfillment: Fulfill material requests or requisitions with efficiency.
- Retrieval: Locate and retrieve requested items from storage swiftly.
- Distribution: Distribute materials to designated departments or individuals, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
Additional Duties
- Order Processing: Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions with attention to detail.
- Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized storage area, promoting a safe work environment.
- Communication: Liaise with vendors and internal departments regarding material needs and discrepancies.
- Waste Management: May be involved in the disposal of scrap or surplus materials.
Skills And Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical Skills: Basic math and computer skills, especially Excel, are essential.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial.
- Team Player: Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Communication: Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and move materials, ensuring smooth operations.
- Inventory Knowledge: Familiarity with inventory management principles is a plus, knowledge of SAP a plus.
- High attention to detail and good manual dexterity needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
