Material Handler (Packer) Monday - Thursday 6:00AM - 6:00PM

About the role

We are hiring Material Handlers for our Packing department at the Spencer, MA plant.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily tracking of all packaging supplies for the finishing department and related supplies.
• Package sheeting and slitting orders: boxing, palletizing, suspending, banding, etc.
• Check all rolls for quality.
• Ensure rolls are packaged in a quality manner.
• Perform re-packaging of products not conforming to customer and/or company quality specifications.
• Operate material handling/lifting equipment: Dalmec, C Hook, Big Joe, and Pallet Jack.
• Operate bar code gun.
• Move within packing area as work demands.

Requirements

• Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn ERP system.
• Ability to read and write work instructions, perform basic math, and read a ruler to measure fractions of an inch.
• Prior forklift experience a plus (training provided).
• Commitment to a high standard of safety and willingness to comply with all environmental and safety regulations, including company policies and procedures.
• Willingness to report potential environmental and safety improvements to supervisory or management personnel.

Pay

Based on region, the expected salary range for this in-person position is $17.55 – $29.25 per hour. The posted range reflects a national pay scale and actual compensation may vary depending on location, experience, and other job-related factors.
